Obama Meets with Stanley Cup Champion L.A. Kings

On Tuesday President Barack Obama received both the Stanley Cup winning Los Angeles Kings hockey team at the White House as well as the L.A. Galaxy soccer club to honor their achievements.  Team captain Dustin Brown of the Kings presented the President with a team jersey showing his name, “Obama” on the back.  We know Obama is more of a basketball fan than a hockey fan but as a Chicago resident we do hope Obama will enjoy his new jersey, presented the day after the Kings beat the NHL leading Chicago Blackhawks – in Chicago – by 5 to 4!  To repeat on the Stanley Cup, the Kings need to beat Chicago in the playoffs and it was great for fans to see their big win against Chicago this week.
