Biden may force American taxpayers to foot bill for San Fran homeless hotels

Mayor Breed does not house the homeless in shelters, or in dorm settings.  This is San Fran.  The Fairmont, the Crown Plaza and other five star hotels are the new home for the homeless.  They get three meals a day and marijuana, needles and some drugs.  What not to like if you are homeless—oh, they also get alcohol.  Now Joe Biden wants to pay for this so the people of San Fran can continue to pay off donors and unions with the taxpayer’s money.

“Under the order, certain kinds of emergency housing for the homeless are eligible to be fully reimbursed through September.

San Francisco, which has one of the highest homeless populations in the nation, spends between $15 million to $18 million per month to house more than 2,200 people in about 25 hotels, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

  • The city’s hotel rooms were mentioned in Thursday’s executive order. But details as to how its housing program will be funded remain unclear.

“I think it’s safe to say it will apply from now until September, for those that are eligible,” said City Controller Ben Rosenfield. His team is waiting on more detailed guidance from the Federal Emergency Management.”

Glad the people of Buffalo, Kansas City and Atlanta are willing to house our homeless like the rich and famous!  Wonder if Biden remembers any of this?

San Francisco hotels used to house homeless people may be fully funded by the federal government this year, thanks to an executive order signed by President Joe Biden signed last Thursday.

Under the order, certain kinds of emergency housing for the homeless are eligible to be fully reimbursed through September.

San Francisco, which has one of the highest homeless populations in the nation, spends between $15 million to $18 million per month to house more than 2,200 people in about 25 hotels, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

“I think it’s safe to say it will apply from now until September, for those that are eligible,” said City Controller Ben Rosenfield. His team is waiting on more detailed guidance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) before announcing precisely how the program will be affected.

The department said last year it would reimburse San Francisco’s program until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it never made clear how it would define the end.

Still, city officials welcomed the news on Thursday. The Trump administration never made clear when the funding would be cut off, prompting worry that the city would have to pay for the housing program entirely on their own and scramble to relocate the homeless.

KQED reported last year that the Bay Area has one of the largest gaps in California between its highest and lowest income earners.

The report cited data from the California Budget and Policy Center which showed that between 2006 and 2018, income for the state’s top 5% of households grew nearly 20%, while income for households in the bottom 20% fell by 20%.

Approximately during that time, homeless in California increased by more than 22%, according to data from the Homelessness Policy Research Institute

If you use the bottom number of $15,000,000 that costs out to $227.72 per day per homeless. If you believe the propaganda that most homeless are families who have fallen on hard times and assume 1 child per family that totals $683.16 per day or $20,494.80 per 30 day month. The cost for a gamily of 4 at the $15,000,000 figure, is $27,326.40 for the 30 day month. If the number is really $18,000,000 then the family of 3 costs $818.18 perf day or $24,545 per 30 day month. Family of 4? $32,26.66 for the 30 day month. Every city in the U.S. should put their homeless on a plane and give them a one way ticket to San Francisco.
How is Socialism working for you now?

Our state is so upside down, and it all starts at the top with Gov. Gav. Newsome. Where did he come from? San Francisco and the SF Political machine, with good old Nancy Pelosi behind the scenes pulling the levers. When the people of CA finally wake up to find their once great state, in ruins, it will be too late. Watch out for the Gavin train, as he ducks & dodges, as he is trying to make a run for the White House. God help us all, if that doofus gets elected. Our state is lost, which is why so many people / families that are able to do so, are leaving CA. Socialism works until they run out of other people’s money. They are starting to run out. Major corporations have left and more are planning to leave. Google & Amazon are facing unionization of their workforces, causing more problems. Teachers Unions are refusing to go back to work, where the kids are being left behind, and the teachers union could care less. Even with all the data that shows schools are safer than the general public. There are thousands of schools that have been open, that proves they are safer. The CDC agrees. We are all screwed in this state, whether all the Liberals realize or not. They are about to, in a vert bad way.

Maybe rather than allowing people from other states to “live in the hotels” all of the Californians should apply as “homeless’ to live in the hotels and then rent out their homes to other people. I wonder how they would like that scenario?

  2. Biden loves California’s policies and regulations that has Californians paying the highest cost for electricity and fuels in the country, and the highest homeless and poverty rates in America. As Biden continues to clone CA for the rest of the country, Americans nationwide can look forward to footing bigger bills for their households. It’s the people choice, and they chose to ride the Biden train to CA.

  3. More waste of taxpayers’ money. When Mayor Breed announced the city would give hotel rooms to the homeless there was an influx of homeless. Add to that the three meals a day, the alcoholic beverages, needles, etc, why would they leave?

  4. The Captive says

This crap – the Biden suck up to paying for him and all his followers has got to stop. They do not deserve anything . They have do nothing to earn all this money in the first place. This is just a scam and the crap pertaining to the HOMELESS living above the normal Californian is just another part of their scam too.
It is WRONG in the first place and since they are the ones out there thinking up this we need to turn it back on these RICH DEMOCRAPS and make them pay —first and continue paying. This is their scam and not the working man in CA. Then in the up and coming election these criminals in office need to be voted out !
Do you think a riot will happen? Well it is good cause to happen – this is why the French rioted and now it is time for another revolution.

Using the word “MAY” is being very generous. He will, for certain force everyone to pay for bad behavior of his democrat leftist friends.
