Gov. Jerry Brown championed an apparent deal with liberal Democrats over dueling tax initiatives as “a winning strategy” Wednesday, while a top Democrat formally outlined the proposal for reporters.
The eleventh-hour deal was reached in hopes of avoiding a showdown between Brown and a coalition of liberal groups led by the California Federation of Teachers that the governor feared could doom his tax-hike proposal this fall.

Liberals like Brown are so predictable in their short sightedness, class warfare, and just general stupidity. Unfortunately they forgot to include 1 very important thing in this tax scheme, how to force the wealthy to stay in California. These people, their money, and businesses are already fleeing by the thousands and it’s only going to get worse. Eventually you will have a state that is mostly illegal aliens, entitlement class, and middle income people who will only be taxed more to support the massively increasing expenditures. The economy will collapse and California will resemble little more than a 3rd world country. This continually failed leftist ideology ensures it’s only a matter of time. How pathetic.
No matter if Brown consolidates it with other ill advised tax measures it still constitutes a real poison pill which will kill the state economy!

The wrong person won that election and the people of this state are paying the price just like always. So let’s impose a tax just for those people registered and voting for the DEMOCRAT PARTY!!!! I know it is the democratic party but I also know it upsets them when we use that name. I’d vote for that tax in a heartbeat.
Don’t really care how many compromises Brown makes, I plan to vote NO period. Sacramento folks need to learn how to budget correctly before I’d give them another dime.
