Racist NBA Loses Historic Numbers of Viewers

Would you watch a bunch of grown men, multi-millionaires, that thought that if you are white, you are a racist?  They have no respect for many Americans.  They had NO problem with Prop. 16 on the 2020 California ballot to limit Asian students in State colleges in the former Golden State.  They do not denounce Planned Parenthood for KILLING 117,000 black babies in just one year, 2018.

“This ratings tumble is nothing new, granted. The past two NBA finals each have fallen one over the other, with last year’s down 51 percent to an all-time low for the championships. The worst was the final game, off nearly 70 percent year-over-year.

So far, the average viewership for the league’s games is only 2.83 million, according to The Athletic. For comparison, recent episodes of the NBC crime drama, The Blacklist, average about 3.3 million viewers, while one of ABC’s biggest shows, medical drama, The Good Doctor, averages just over four million per week. Historically, sports out earns any regular TV series.

The NBA’s collapse may not be surprising in light of recent polls finding that basketball fans feel that the league has become far too wrapped up in politics.

If I wanted to watch a bunch of racist, I would go to a KKK rally or a Democrat meeting—but, I am sorry, for being redundant.  Racism black or white is wrong—even if multi-millionaires say it is OK.

Panic Time: NBA Fast-Approaching Historic Ratings Lows

The NBA has suffered another ratings disaster, with ABC falling 45 percent since the 2011-12 season, while TNT was down 40 percent, and ESPN was off 20 percent.

This ratings tumble is nothing new, granted. The past two NBA finals each have fallen one over the other, with last year’s down 51 percent to an all-time low for the championships. The worst was the final game, off nearly 70 percent year-over-year.

The NBA’s collapse may not be surprising in light of recent polls finding that basketball fans feel that the league has become far too wrapped up in politics.

In September, a Harris poll found that 39 percent of respondents who identified as sports fans felt that the NBA had become too political, and 19 percent said that they had turned off pro basketball because of the NBA’s deep links to China.

In 2020, the NBA’s coronavirus season in the bubble launched with heavy-handed paeans to the anti-American Black Lives Matter agenda. But reactions to those displays of leftism may have alarmed NBA Commissioner Adam Silver because the league boss claimed that this season would dispense with the more overt displays of support for BLM.

“My sense is there’ll be somewhat a return to normalcy that those messages will largely be left to be delivered off the floor. And, I understand those people who are saying, ‘I’m on your side, but I want to watch a basketball game,’” Silver said last October.

Still, if the ratings for the 2021 season are any indication, Silver’s realizations may have come too late.

Let me see, oh yes, I remember the NBA.
They used to be athletes very good at playing a tough game of putting a ball in a hoop for lots of money.
Now, they are just a bunch of radical elites who think they are perfect, for a few hours a week, and that YOU ARE BAD.
They think all whites are racist white supremacy black hating idiots and all blacks are lowly victims.
They think all police do is hunt down blacks to shoot for no reason.
They promote hatred of American values.
They could not be more wrong with their phony displays of hate.

And they wonder why no one gives a damn about them anymore.

Such delightful and deserved news. The NFL and maybe MLB should face the same fate. Notice that the NHL has kept their mouths shut be then they don’t have the big salaries of the other sports to risk their careers. Maybe we should watch more hockey and less of the other loudmouths.

I would suggest watching Motor Trend TV or the History channel but I am not confident that they haven’t altered history to be PC.

  3. Actions always speak more loudly than words.

Big problem for the NBA is that it is involved heavily with SLAVERY, all of their products are made by Chinese slaves. And the big dog in the NBA, LeBron, is a modern day SLAVE-OWNER of massive proportions. He has more Chinese slaves making his shoes than any slave owner ever had in the South, 160 years ago.

But they are going to lecture their audience about racism? These uber-wealthy slave owners have lost all respect, if indeed they ever had any.

When the NBA is forced to cut their salaries, the wailing and whining will be heard around the world, and it will be R-A-C-I-S-M. Mark my words.

  4. It boggles the mind to watch hundreds of multi millionaires to be so ego driven as to believe their personal political opinions are impactful or of interest to the general public. All the owners had to do was to stay neutral and forbid political opinion blathering while representing the team. Their stupidity is epic and well decompensated for.

    I repeat.

How many blacks would be on the starting lineup of any of these teams had to face the exact percentage of Caucasians who went out for sports. When I was coaching both the high school and college level it used to amaze me to see tall capable white kids walking the halls. I would ask them to join “any” of the school teams and the answer far too often was “Thanks coach not interested.”

I have two nephews who are over 6’5″ and both “declined” when they could have easily had a half to full ride scholarship to the schools they were in. It was interesting to see them in school where blacks and hispanics were bullying other kids, but for some reason they never gave them a hard time.

With the recent in the last 10 years overt hostile attitudes of the players in the College, NBA, NFL, and recently MLB, they are voting with their viewing habits and not buying sponsor products.

LB has made it clear he is a bully. Just remember we all end in the same place and I would not want to be there when judgement cones down.
