Soros DA Tells Officers to Consider Whether Looters ‘Needed’ Spoils

The Contra County District Attorney, an acolyte of Gorge Soros, has no problem with looting.  In fact he promotes it.

“In any event, Becton’s charging guidelines for looting read:…

i. Was the target business open or closed to the public during the state of emergency?
ii. What was the manner and means by which the suspect gained entry to the business?
iii. What was the nature/quantity/value of the goods targeted?
iv. Was the theft committed for financial gain or personal need?
v. Is there an articulable reason why another statute wouldn’t adequately address the particular incident?

So, let’s get this straight. Deputy District Attorneys and/or the county’s law enforcement officers are supposed to go through a flow chart, including a psychological and financial analysis, to determine if looting charges should be filed?

Looks to me like this DA is a crook.  His use of “criteria” is meant to accept theft as reparations.  The people of Contra County are endangered by their DA.  Why open a business when government is going to allow thieves to take your property—in front of cops, and no arrests will be made?

Soros DA Tells Officers to Consider Whether Looters ‘Needed’ Spoils

By AAN Staff, 8/27/20

Contra Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton is serving her first term representing the eastern end of the San Francisco Bay. Becton is one of several prominent prosecutors who received financial backing from lefty billionaire George Soros.

She went to work immediately overhauling how the DA’s office charged and prosecuted crimes for the county’s 1.2 million residents. That includes a “racial equity-minded” approach to how people will be charged for “looting.” (RedState)

In California, a looting charge essentially increases the severity of a burglary or theft charge if it occurred during a State of Emergency.

While no such order has been given in response to the riots, the entirety of the Golden State has been under a State of Emergency since March 4, 2020.

In any event, Becton’s charging guidelines for looting read:…

Because that’s what’s happening right now.

  1. ExCaliExpat says

California is doomed if these politicians are allowed to retain their offices in light of their general disregard for the quality of life of their constituents…
This essentially green lights criminal behavior….

  2. James Coles says

    ¡El Bizarro!
Some 1.2 million people live out there now…in two years maybe a dozen stores of any kind will still be open there…maybe?
California crazy continues to blow my mind.

  3. When is that ignorant “fuque” Soros going to be arrested? He is guilty of financial crimes throughout Europe. Now he sits back on the East Coast in luxury bankrolling local IG’s all over the country. All leftist, all worthless!!

    • William Hicks says

Maybe Soros isn’t who you should be concerned with, but those receiving funds from him for political purposes and elections.

  4. Murder and rape could likewise be justified using a similar rational.

  5. The Captive says

Figure this: I called Agular-Curry’s office to make sure they recorded that I OPPOSED SB731 ( AGAINST cutting the police force) and this woman ARGUED with me about it–I finally said I want it recorded that I am OPPOSED TO IT! Then hung up. This attitude on the LEFT stunk to high heaven and that dame needed her teeth shaken out for her bad behavior.
This is the crap and the low rung this governor has sunk to. I really do not trust a damn thing they say and know that his only low-down solution is to TAX TAX TAX TO kingdom-come!!!

A HEX IN HELL to them all!

  6. Otis Needleman says

Just arrest them anyway. Let the DA drop charges, and let the media know what the DA did.

  7. Hummmmm A Gang Member needs the “cred” of killing a cop….. According to this he needed it therefore it is justified and no arrest.

A druggie strung out an needed a fix so he steals from your house. He needed it therefore it is justified.

An illegal that comes on a panga boat, doesn’t have skills or education needs money to exist illegally here, but he needs to loot and rob, therefore hi is justified.

The Democrats have boxed themselves in and depend on rioters, looters, illegals, and welfare types to stay in power.

And you voted for them, why?

  8. What’s good for the goose is good for the gooser. Would someone please publish this dizzy dame’s address so the looters can be directed to her house?

  9. A go fund me, needs to be established to raise the monetary means to eliminate G. Soros and his ilk…..Donations are welcome….

  10. What gets me is that Californians keep voting these people into office, not just this looney tunes DA but
Pelosi. What has she done for your state, your city, her community. Shumer, same thing, what have they accomplished in the last three and 1/2 years to make your lives better?

Your the one’s that put them in office, do yourselves a favor and vote them out.
